I am Philip Severo Alexis.
I live in Michigan, between an ancient forest and a farm I built with my own blood, sweat, and tears. I share it with my wife and our four children.
I’ve always felt like a black sheep—never quite fitting in with family, friends, or school. After multiple near-death experiences, I learned the hard way how to survive—and how precious time really is. For a long time, I hated the world… until I realized it wasn’t the world’s fault that my life was this way. And I had the power to make it better.
One day, God reached directly into my heart through a cartoon. That show was Dragon Ball Z. It had a deeper impact on me than all the outside noise. It helped shape who I am. Even now, I can still hear Goku saying, “Get up.” He gave me hope when I had less than nothing.
That’s why I’ve dedicated my life to this book series—to give even a portion of that hope back.
